In the Isles of the Sea

Wow it feels like I just barely emailed, but I'm back on the main island and its been a really good couple of weeks. Elder Tolman and I have been trying to work as hard as we can so that he can have a good last couple weeks and its been paying off. The people have been opening up and we were able to have 2 baptisms on Saturday! I really do think with all of my heart that this island is about blow up. The members are really starting to work with us and do branch activities and minister to those who are little less-active. Lately I've been studying a lot on how to help others feel the Holy Ghost and receive personal revelation. Its been so amazing that as I really focus on the Holy Ghost are much it actually comes into the lessons. You can see it in peoples is eyes when they feel it in their hearts, and then they choose to accept it or deny it. What a couple of weeks this was. It was going so well and then these 2 dogs snuck up on me and bit me right in the Achilles. It just bit down hard and started to rip its head back and forth, and all I could do was kneel down and punch the dog. As I was just standing there a little in shock when 2 Chuukese mammas came over and started to squeeze it as hard as they could and blood started to just pour out. They just kept saying they had to get the blood out so it wouldn't get infected. Then all the sudden this woman comes out with a handful of salt and just slapped it right on there and rubbed it into the bite. To say the least it felt reeeeaaaallllll good. I then had to walk the mile back to our house so we could get service and call the main island to get a boat so I could get some medicine. I couldn't walk for a couple of days but then miraculously It healed so well in literally 2 hours so I could go back out to my island. Overall a weird but awesome blessing. The work on Udo...

My goodness its been so long since I last emailed i dont know where to start . Ive left uman, there were tears. I miss all of those members so much and am so grateful for the time I had with them. Now though I get to stay on a beautiful island called Udot. Its known to be really clean and beautiful because all the people work together to keep the island nice. Its full of really nice houses, big gardens, and wonderful people. All of them are so nice to us and treat us with great love. Lately Ive been just focusing on learning how to love people as soon as I see them. Its helped me be just so happy the whole time that im walking around and gives me a great desire to talk to people. It helped me the most to see their divine potential, and seeing that makes you want to work so hard to help them get there. I love you all and appreciate all yall do for me. Woaaahhhhhh Im inner island right now, feels like a century since ive seen a car or anything Life on Uman has been amazing. Been with Elder Duce and its been a lot of fun and ive also learned so much from him. BIG NEWS!!!! My favorite man on Uman, Romi, finally accepted to be baptized ad it happened. Let me tell you, I found Romi in March with Elder Bean ad to see Romi come so far has been the most rewarding experience in my life. Hes an amazing man and we are also working with his two boys Imor and Uchem. In the mission right now really been focusing on charity and love. Once you really look deeper into who you are you can see so much pride and undersirable things in who you are. Im not saying that we're bad people, but once you begin to see what pride truly is, you can see youre true potential and really want to change. Sorry everybody itll be another short one today. The work on uman is doing great. The people are growing more comfortable with me as I know the language better. Just want everyone to know I love you all and know this work is true. God truly does bless those who put in their whole effort into serving him. Sorry no pictures, bad connection this time. Sorry Ive got like no time this week, but Uman and Chuuk have been amazing. Im learning Chuukese pretty well, I can talk and teach and understand most of what people say. The people here really are amazing in every way. They are very open and loving and always invite us to eat with them. I really know that this work is true, and christ is my savior.
